The Integrated B.A./B.Sc./B.Com., B.Ed. Special Education (Multiple Disabilities – Middle Stage) under ISITEP (Integrated Special Teacher Education Programme) is a four-year dual-degree program designed to prepare teachers to support students (Classes VI–VIII) with multiple disabilities (e.g., combinations of intellectual disability, visual impairment, hearing impairment, cerebral palsy, or autism spectrum disorder).

This program integrates:

  • Undergraduate academic education (Arts, Commerce, or Science)
  • Professional teacher training in Special Education

  • Understanding multiple disabilities in middle school learners
  • Functional assessment and Individualised Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Teaching functional academics and life skills
  • Communication strategies including AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)
